Configuration
You must have Jira administrator rights to access this section.
Go to the plugin settings section in the following path: “Apps → Manage apps” and then go to "Teamployees Configuration" in the left menu column.
Permissions
Jira administrators can grant permissions to the following user groups:
Administrators: Users of this group have extended access to plugin settings. For example, they have permissions to change the workload plan for the entire organization or an individual user, can edit personal information for all users, and view summary leave reports for all users. Additionally, these users have access to all the features of users with standard privileges.
Users: Users with standard privileges have access to the calendar page to create their own requests, such as vacation or sick leave. Users in this group can view current and upcoming holidays, vacations, and birthdays of their colleagues. They can also see information about other users in the “Jira Users” and “External Users” tabs, and if necessary, they can edit information about themselves, such as phone number, birthday, hobbies, etc. In the “Reports” tab, these users only see statistics for their own leave requests.
Event Notifications
If you want to be notified about events you need to approve, Teamployees plugin can create the appropriate issues for you, here you can set up a project for this.
When selecting a value in the "Project" field, please note that the "team-managed projects" type is not supported due to limited functionality, but you can choose any "company-managed project".
After connecting the project by clicking the "Confirm" button you will need to publish the changes made by the plugin in the workflow scheme for the correct implementation of the approval process using the provided “link”. Follow the provided link and publish changes to the workflow scheme:
When you click on “link” a new window will open, then confirm the changes by clicking on the “Publish” button:
To make all requests for a day off mandatory approval, choose the "Approver is required" option in the general settings of the Teamployees plugin.
Troubleshooting
Even after successfully configuring the project, it's important to ensure that the default atlassian-addons-project-access
project role has the following mandatory permissions for the add-on to create and process issues properly:
Modify Reporter
Create Issues
Resolve Issues
Transition Issues
Browse Projects
Make sure these permissions are set in the relevant project(s).
If a project selected in Event Notifications uses a shared Workflow Scheme (a workflow scheme shared by multiple projects), any changes made by the Teamployees plugin to the workflow scheme will need to be applied in the global settings:
If you do not plan to make changes in the global settings for a shared workflow scheme, we recommend selecting a project in Event Notifications that uses a Workflow Scheme not shared with other projects.
