Absences
The Absences section is an important part of the Teamployees plugin for Jira, providing complete information about vacation and sick leave statistics.
Please note that data related to user vacations and sick days is rounded to two decimal places. This rounding may result in minor discrepancies due to the approximation.
Employee Reports
Users have access to their vacation and sick leave statistics:
Employees can select a specific period to view their leave and sick day statistics.
This allows them to track their usage over any given timeframe, such as the last month, quarter, or year.
Each user can download their own report in Excel format for further analysis or record keeping:
Use the filtering options to select the desired date range and parameters.
Click on the
"Export report to Excel" button and confirm the download.
Manager Reports
This functionality of the Teamployees plugin is accessible only to users with Manager privileges.
Managers in the Teamployees plugin have expanded capabilities:
Managers can view vacation and sick leave statistics for all employees with the ability to select an individual employee in the "Users" field or a group of employees in the "Teams" field.
It is possible to view reports for different periods (for example, monthly, quarterly, annually).
Managers can see aggregated data as well as individual employee records.
Managers can download reports in Excel format for further analysis or record keeping:
Select the individual employees or groups of employees for whom you want to create a summary report.
Use the filtering options to select the desired date range and parameters.
Click on the
"Export report to Excel" button and confirm the download.
The report will be downloaded and contains a complete overview of all relevant statistics for the selected employees:

Types of leave
Dates and durations of leave
Summarized data for quick reference
Additional Information
The Additional Information section provides a comprehensive history of all leaves and sick days taken by a user within a selected time period. Access to the section is available via the icon located next to each user's name:
For the selected user, you can view key details such as event name, leave type, duration, period, time requested, and approving manager.
To streamline your review process, this list can be filtered using the following parameters:
Leave Type – Filter by the category of leave (e.g., Vacation, Sick Leave).
Duration – Narrow down results based on the length of the leave (e.g., Full Day, Half Day, Hourly).
Approver – Display only entries approved by a specific person. The vacation will be marked as "Automatically approved" if the user creates a leave request without an approver.
This section helps managers and HR professionals maintain transparency and quickly access relevant time-off records when needed.
