Events Overview

The Teamployees Events Overview gadget for Jira allows users to get a quick summary of upcoming events such as vacations, sick days, birthdays and holidays within a specific time frame.

Adding a gadget

Follow these steps to add a gadget to a dashboard:

  1. Go to the dashboard by selecting the Dashboards link in the top navigation bar.

  2. On the dashboard, Click Add gadget. If you do not see this button, go to the ... menu on the top right and select Edit dashboard. The Add gadget button will now appear on your dashboard.

  3. In the search field, type Teamployees Events Overview and click Add button to choose the gadget.

The gadget has flexible settings:

Show Approval List: With the checkbox active, users can be able to interact with requests from the Teamployees Approval List directly from the Events Overview gadget, for example, managers can approve or decline vacation requests.

 

Display Period: Users can customize the time period for which they want to view upcoming events. This could include a daily, weekly, or monthly overview.

 

Event Types: The Teamployees plugin has several standard event types that you can choose to display in the Events Overview gadget. All events are color-coded, which can be changed to help users quickly identify the type of event (e.g., holidays, vacations, sick leave). Event colors are pulled from the calendar when the gadget is opened for the first time. In the future, you can change the colors of events regardless of the settings in the main Teamployees calendar.

 

Public Holidays: Select the countries in which you want to track national holidays. The Events Overview will then display a list of current and upcoming holidays. When adding a gadget, the countries selected in the main Teamployees calendar are set by default, but you can change the list of countries in the Events Overview gadget regardless of the settings in the main Teamployees calendar.

 

Refresh Interval: How often you would like this gadget to update. The gadget will automatically sync with the main Teamployees calendar, ensuring that the information displayed in the Events Overview is up to date.
